Oxley Rise Condominium Housing
In October 2020, a news report in the local Singapore newspaper The Business Times indicates the property is expected to go on the market in 2021 with industry watchers expecting the asking price to be above $250 million SD.
The seven owners of the 117,230 s.f. site – which is situated within a prime residential district near the Orchard Road shopping belt – are Cheong Hooi Hong, Cheong Kheng Lim, Cheong Keng Hooi, Cheong Pin Chuan, Cheong Sim Lam, Cheong Pin Seng and Cheong Kim Pong. The owners are the seven sons of the late Cheong Eak Chong – founder of the Singapore Hong Fok Corporation and Hong Kong Tian Teck group. They also own the private road, measuring 33,975 sq ft, which provides access to 5 Oxley Rise as well as to the residents of Oxley Garden.
A two-story bungalow sits on the site, whose last resident, matriarch Lim Ghee, passed away in February 2020.
